Miguel drove every shift like it mattered, because it did. Worn leather, long nights, a thermos going cold in the cupholder and a dignity no one ever rated five stars. The work doesn't get easier and nobody hands out medals for it — you just show up and drive. This bar carries that same unsung grit: tobacco and leather for people who keep moving.

The scent

This is a barbershop scent with the sweetness taken out. It opens with a bite of spice, moves into something like an old whiskey bar — tobacco leaf, dark wood, worn upholstery — and finishes with the warmth of vanilla against real leather. It's the most "grown-up" bar we make.

  • Opens with — pink pepper and clary sage
  • Settles into — aged whiskey and tobacco leaf
  • Finishes — java vetiver, vanilla, and worn leather

Who it's for

Anyone who finds most soap too sweet or too clean. This is the bar for people who wear woody, spicy colognes — and it's one of the most reliable gifts in the range for a father, a partner, or anyone who works hard and doesn't ask for much. It lingers on the skin longer than most of our bars.

The collaboration

Made with @dimlitfilms, an independent film outfit telling stories about people who don't usually get them told. A portion of every bar sold goes directly toward funding their next project.

What's in it, and why

  • Coconut oil — the lather. It's what gives the bar its thick, fast bubbles.
  • Olive oil — the gentleness. A classic conditioning oil that keeps the bar mild.
  • Mango seed butter — the creaminess. Adds body to the lather and a softer feel on the skin.
  • Avocado oil — rich and conditioning, long used in bars meant for dry or tired skin.
  • Castor oil — the bubble stabilizer. A small amount makes the lather last instead of collapsing.
  • Jojoba oil — closest in structure to skin's own oils, which is part of why the bar feels easy rather than stripping.
  • Yogurt — our signature addition, and the reason the lather has a creamy, almost silky quality that plain soap doesn't.
  • Tocopherol (Vitamin E) — a natural antioxidant that helps keep the oils fresh.

Making it last

Handmade soap is softer than the mass-produced bars you'd find in a supermarket, which is exactly why it feels better on your skin — and exactly why it dissolves if you leave it sitting in water. Keep it on a draining dish or in a sisal pouch between showers and let it dry out fully. Treated that way, a bar lasts a good long while. Left in a puddle on the edge of the tub, it'll be gone in a couple of weeks.

The details

Ingredients: Saponified Oils (Coconut, Olive, Mango Seed Butter, Avocado, Castor, Jojoba), Yogurt, Fragrance, Mica, Tocopherol (Vitamin E)
Net Wt: 3.5 oz (99g)
Contains dairy (yogurt) — not vegan
Handmade in Prescott Valley, Arizona

Made in small batches by hand, which means no two bars come out identical. Slight variation in color, swirl, and weight is normal — it's the honest signature of soap made a few dozen bars at a time rather than a few thousand.

Pairs well with

Scarlet Mystery, the other bar in the Dim Lit Films collaboration. Admiral's Reserve or Wizard's Chambers if you want to stay in the warm, spicy end of the range. Add the Knight's Beard Oil for a complete set.
