Warden's Brew - Coffee w/ French Roast Grounds
The Warden never sleeps — and neither does the grind. Somebody has to be awake while the rest of the world isn't, and that somebody runs on the same thing every night. This bar carries the bold, earthy bite of fresh coffee grounds, built for people who keep watch when everything goes quiet.
The scent
Real ground coffee, not a coffee-flavored fragrance. It smells like a bag of dark roast just opened — bitter, smoky, and earthy, with none of the sweetness you'd get from a coffee-shop drink.
- Opens with — bold roasted coffee
- Settles into — dark, earthy grounds
- Finishes — warm and faintly smoky
Who it's for
This bar earns its place next to the kitchen sink. Coffee grounds are one of the oldest tricks for cutting through stubborn kitchen smells — garlic, onion, fish, anything that survives a normal handwash. Keep this one by the sink and use it after you cook.
It's also a solid shower bar for anyone with working hands, and popular with mechanics, gardeners, and cooks for the same reason.
A note on the coffee
The grounds do two jobs. They're a firm exfoliant — grittier than poppy seeds, comparable to the sea salt in Dragon's Maw — which makes this bar good for hands, feet, and elbows and less suited to your face. And the coffee itself is what neutralizes odors on the skin, which is the reason this bar exists.
What's in it, and why
- Ground coffee — firm exfoliation and genuine odor-cutting power. The whole point of the bar.
- Coconut oil — the lather. It's what gives the bar its thick, fast bubbles.
- Olive oil — the gentleness. A classic conditioning oil that keeps the bar mild.
- Mango seed butter — the creaminess. Adds body to the lather and a softer feel on the skin.
- Avocado oil — rich and conditioning, long used in bars meant for dry or tired skin.
- Castor oil — the bubble stabilizer. A small amount makes the lather last instead of collapsing.
- Jojoba oil — closest in structure to skin's own oils.
- Yogurt — our signature addition, for a creamier, silkier lather.
- Tocopherol (Vitamin E) — a natural antioxidant that helps keep the oils fresh.
Making it last
Keep it on a draining dish and let it dry out fully between uses. A coffee bar by a kitchen sink gets used constantly, so drainage matters more here than almost anywhere else.
