Sun Bleached Blade - Coastal Drift
Left in the sand where the tide decides its fate, the blade catches the light and asks nothing of anyone. Whoever carried it isn't coming back for it, and the sea has already started the work of taking it apart. There's no tragedy in it. This bar carries that same ease — warm coconut and soft sea cotton, salt-worn and unhurried.
The scent
Coconut done as a beach scent rather than a dessert. There's a soft, clean cotton note running through it that keeps the coconut from turning into suntan lotion — the result is warm and hazy rather than sweet.
- Opens with — warm Aruba coconut
- Settles into — soft sea cotton, clean and airy
- Finishes — sun-warmed and mellow
Who it's for
Anyone who wants a vacation scent that isn't cloying. It's a strong seller in warm months, it reads unisex, and it's one of the more relaxing bars in the range — good for evening showers as well as mornings.
The collaboration
Made with artist Keira Moeckley — @I_Will_Steal_Your_Toaster. A portion of every bar sold goes toward supporting her work and other small artists. If you want to know where your money goes when you buy from a small business, this is a clear answer: some of it goes to another artist.
What's in it, and why
- Coconut oil — the lather. It's what gives the bar its thick, fast bubbles.
- Olive oil — the gentleness. A classic conditioning oil that keeps the bar mild.
- Mango seed butter — the creaminess. Adds body to the lather and a softer feel on the skin.
- Avocado oil — rich and conditioning, long used in bars meant for dry or tired skin.
- Castor oil — the bubble stabilizer. A small amount makes the lather last instead of collapsing.
- Jojoba oil — closest in structure to skin's own oils, which is part of why the bar feels easy rather than stripping.
- Yogurt — our signature addition, and the reason the lather has a creamy, almost silky quality that plain soap doesn't.
- Tocopherol (Vitamin E) — a natural antioxidant that helps keep the oils fresh.
Making it last
Handmade soap is softer than the mass-produced bars you'd find in a supermarket, which is exactly why it feels better on your skin — and exactly why it dissolves if you leave it sitting in water. Keep it on a draining dish or in a sisal pouch between showers and let it dry out fully.
